Delhi Hockey scored a thumping 30-0 win over Gujarat in Pool A of Division B in preliminary round of 16th Hockey India Sub Junior Men National Championship 2026 in Bihar

To avoid one-sided contests in age group categories at the national level, Gujarat Hockey should strengthen its grassroots development programme.
Going by the day-four results of the ongoing 16th Hockey India Sub Junior Men National Championship 2026 in progress in Rajgir, Bihar, it suggests that Western state of India that will host the 2030 Commonwealth Games needs to focus on the grassroots development programme.
According to the press release of Hockey India, Delhi Hockey scored a thumping 30-0 win over Gujarat in Pool A of Division B.
Hockey Uttarakhand has made good progress and defeated Telangana Hockey 4-0 in Pool A of Division B. In another one-sided match Chhattisgarh Hockey defeated Hockey Karnataka 4-1 in Pool B of Division B.
At the 16th Hockey India Sub Junior Women National Championship 2026 being played in Ranchi, Jharkhand, Gujarat team suffered an 18-0 defeat at the hands of Hockey Bengal in the preliminary round of Pool A match of Division B.
Hockey Madhya Pradesh also scored a 17-1 win over Manipur Hockey in Pool C match of Division ‘A’.
In another preliminary round one-sided match, Uttar Pradesh Hockey defeated Kerala Hockey 10-1 in Pool D of Division ‘A’.
