World Boxing Cup 2026 Stage 2: Indian boxers continued their good run, on course for six medals

Prachi and Minakshi continued their good run in the ongoing World Boxing Cup 2026 Stage 2 in the Chinese City of Guiyang.

Prachi defeated Paris Olympics bronze medallist Shih Yi Wu of Chinese Taipei 4-1 to advance to the semifinals of the women’s 57kg.

India’s World No 1 in 48kg, Minakshi, competing in the 51kg category scored 5-0 win over Kazakhstan’s Alua Balkibekova, reigning World Champion to stay on track for a medal.
In the men’s 70kg category, Deepak outclassed Azerbaijan’s Nabi Isgandarov with 5-0 decision while Nikhil (55kg) also beat Azerbaijan’s Amin Mammadzada 5-0 to progress to the semifinals.
With today’s results, Indian boxers are on course for six medals.
Earlier in the day, Saneh (65kg) put up a spirited effort but went down 0-5 against Poland’s Kinga Krówka.
