Sonam Uttam Maskar and Himanshu Dhillon shot 441.2 in the final to win bronze in mixed 10m air rifle

The pair ofSonam Uttam Maskar and Himanshu Dhillon clinched bronze medal in the mixed 10m air rifle event in the ongoing ISSF World Cup in rifle/pistol/shotgun in Hangzhou, China. With mixed 10m air rifle bronze medal the India’s medal tally swelled to four, including one gold, one silver and two bronze medals.

The pair of Elavenil Valarivan and Parth Rakesh Mane finished fourth in the mixed 10m air rifle.

In the qualification round Sonam Uttam Maskar (317.2) and Himanshu Dhillon (317.4) aggregate score was 634.6 to advance to the medal round. The second Indian pair— Elavenil Valarivan (316.8) and Parth Rakesh Mane (317.4) qualified for the final with a total score of 634.2.

In the final, Sonam and Himanshu gave a good account of their performance to add the bronze medal to the team’s tally.

Sonam Uttam Maskar, 23, however missed an individual medal in the women’s 10m air rifle.
