India’s teenager pistol shooter Jonathan Gavin Antony competing for ranking points finished seventh in the qualification round with a score of 585.

Indian pistol shooters were off target in the men’s 10m air pistol event in the highly competitive field at the ISSF World Cup in Munich.
India’s best bet Samrat Rana failed to progress to the final as he finished 14th in the field of 142 shooters. Rana, 21, world champion in 2025, shot 582 out of 600.
Ajendra Singh Chauhan was the second-best Indian shooter in the field. He finished 28th with a score of 578. Sharvan Kumar finished 46th with a score of 575.
But it was heartening to witness teenager Jonathan Gavin Antony competing for ranking points finishing seventh in the qualification round with a score of 585. Shooters competing for ranking points don’t progress to medal round or final. He will be one to watch.
Harsh Swami, second Indian competing for ranking points, scored 573.
Several big names, including Turkey’s Olympic Games medal winner, Yusuf Dikec, failed to progress to the final. He shot an average of 581 to finish at 17th place.
In the qualification, Switzerland’s Jason Solari topped the chart with 586. The field was competitive as the next five shooters who made it to the final had an identical score of 585.
Pakistan’s Gulfam Joseph was the eighth and last shooter to advance to the medal round. In the qualification he shot 583.
South Korea’s Hong Suhyeon was winner of men’s 10m air pistol gold with 241.4 points. He was the most consistent shooter in the final.
Switzerland’s Jason Solari took home silver with 239.3 points. Hsieh Hsiang-Chen of Chinese Taipei won the bronze with a score of 218.5 points. Pakistan’s Gulfam Joseph finished sixth.
