It was clean sweep for Indian shooters in men’s 50m rifle 3 positions

India’s experienced rifle shooter Aishwary Pratap Singh Tomar exhibited his class to clinch gold medal in the men’s 50m rifle 3 positions in the ongoing Asian Rifle/Pistol Championship here at Delhi’s Dr Karni Singh Shooting Ranges. Indian shooters claimed silver and bronze, respectively in the 50m rifle 3 positions. Niraj Kumar took home silver while Akhil Sheoran settled for bronze.
The trio of Aishwary, Niraj and Akhil also won the team gold with Japan and Kazakhstan winning the silver and bronze medals respectively.
In the junior men’s finals, Adriyan Karmakar, secured his second gold medal of the Asian championship with a comfortable victory. He shot 353.2, which was 4.7 better than silver medallist Dmitriy Kim of Kazakhstan.
India’s Manvendra Singh Shekhawat won bronze with a final score of 338.6 points.
In the junior finals, Adriyan was leading after the sixth shot. With consistent scores he maintained the lead to win the second gold medal of the championship.
