Winning the men’s doubles title at the China Masters Super 750 badminton tournament in the Chinese City of Shenzhen on Sunday, will certainly give a big boost to the confidence of theSatwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty. The Indian duo weren’t able to go beyond quarterfinals in the New Delhi’s BWF World Championships on the home ground.
The 2022 Asian Games Gold medallists Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty secured their second BWF World Tour Super 750 title of the season by defeating China’s He Ji Ting and Ren Xiang Yu 11-21, 21-13, 21-17 at the Shenzhen Arena on Sunday.
Playing in their third China Masters final after runner-up finishes in 2023 and 2025, the Indians made a strong comeback after losing the opening game to win the trophy.
After winning the China Masters Trophy, the Indian pair will now look forward to defending their Asian Games title in Japan.
