Five Indian relay teams will compete in the two-day Debswana World Athletics Relays 26 to be held on May 2 and 3 in Gaborone, Botswana.

Indian teams have qualified for the men 4x100m and 4x400m relay. Women 4x100m and mixed 4x100m and 4x400m relay.

The weekend global relay competition in Gaborone will be an excellent platform for the Indian athlete to earn automatic spots for the World Athletics Championships Beijing 27.

According to the World Athletics website, top six in the mixed 4x100m and 4x400m are assured a place at the inaugural World Athletics Ultimate Championship to be held between September 11 to 13 in Budapest, Hungary.

Jamaica’s five-time Olympic gold medallist Elaine Thompson-Herah and two-time world 200m champion Shericka Jackson will be among several world and Olympic champions seen in action in two days of competition in Gaborone.

Six relay events: Men 4x100m and 4x400m, Women 4x100m and 4x400m. Mixed 4x100m and 4x400m.
