Indian shooting team won 24 medals seven of the gold, eight silver and nine bronze medals in the prestigious ISSF Junior World Championship

The Indian shooting contingent won 24 medals, seven of them gold to top the chart at the just concluded ISSF Junior World Championship 2026 in Suhl, Germany. The Indian team also won eight silver and nine bronze medals.
Sejal Kamble set the ball rolling with 10m air pistol women gold. The trio of Sejal Kamble, Vanshika Choudhary and Navya Bishnoi also clinched team gold.
Pritam Kendre was outstanding in the 10m air rifle men’s event. He won gold. On the rich haul of medals in Suhl, Pawan Kumar Singh, Secretary General, NRAI (National Rifle Association of India) says the competition is highly competitive in Suhl. “The focus now is to ensure that juniors are able to sustain this momentum and graduate to senior ranks,” says the NRAI secretary general
